In honor of James E. Rogers, a Kentucky-born, long-time Las Vegas resident, The Rogers Foundation established the Kentucky Wesleyan Rogers’ Fellows Scholarship. It is open to college-bound residents of Southern Nevada who wish to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Named in Princeton’s 2020 “Best of the Southeast” colleges, Kentucky Wesleyan College (KWC) is a small, private institution founded in 1858. With small faculty to student ratios (11:1), KWC offers courses of study in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Biological and Biomedical Sciences; Education; Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services; and Visual and Performing Arts, and others.
The Rogers Foundation will offer a minimum of 10 annual full scholarships to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College. These scholarships are open to current high school Seniors attending a public school in the Clark County School District, as well as transferring college freshmen and sophomores enrolled in a college in Southern Nevada. Additionally, each scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and room and board. Each award recipient will receive the scholarship for up to four full years of study.
Applicants must apply to KWC and be accepted in order to be eligible for this scholarship. Check KWC academics, tuition and fees, and scholarship application requirements for The Rogers Foundation Scholarship here. Scholarship applications are available on The Rogers Foundation web site; awarded funds will be distributed to students via the KWC Financial Aid Department.
