The Beverly Theater Resurrects ‘The Wake’ for a Month of Haunted Cinema This October

October 1, 2026

‍ LAS VEGAS – The Beverly Theater is raising the dead once again this October with the return of The Wake: An Open Casket Viewing of Haunted Cinema, a month-long celebration of horror, cult cinema and the wonderfully weird featuring 50 films in 31 days throughout October.

From psychological horror and supernatural nightmares to cult oddities and boundary-pushing classics, The Wake celebrates the strange, sinister and unforgettable corners of horror cinema. Highlights include The Shining, Hellraiser, Ken Russell’s The Devils, Carrie, The Love Witch, Children of the Corn, Faust and Cuddly Toys.

Milestone screenings are woven throughout the month, including the 50th anniversaries of Carrie and The Omen, the 40th anniversaries of Aliens and Manhunter: The Final Cut, the 30th anniversaries of Scream and The Cable Guy, the 25th anniversaries of Spirited Away and The Devil’s Backbone, the 10th anniversary of The Love Witch and the 100th anniversary of Faust.

The Wake goes beyond the screen with special events and guest appearances throughout October. The Beverly will mark Carrie’s 50th anniversary with a Blood Bath featuring local art organization Recycled Propaganda, while director Kansas Bowling joins the theater for Cuddly Toys. Final Girl Film Club returns with Prom Night, and select screenings get another dimension with Final Destination 5 and It Came from Outer Space presented in 3D.

All-Access Slash Passes are now available here for $100, offering unlimited entry and priority seating for screenings throughout October. Upgrade to Slash Pass Plus for $250 and get one bucket of popcorn included with every screening you attend. Special activations will take place throughout the month, with commemorative The Wake 2026 merchandise also available at concessions.

Audiences will experience the films on The Beverly Theater’s big screen with state-of-the-art projection and Meyer Sound’s ASTRYA® cinema loudspeaker technology, creating an immersive setting worthy of a month devoted to horror cinema.
