New Orleans-based The Iceman Special Bring Swamp Funk Music to The Beverly Theater LIVE for One Night Only – Friday, June 30

May 22, 2023

Delivering on its mission of filling the community with intentional LIVE music and uncommon performances, The Beverly Theater will present NOLA-based swamp funk phenoms The Iceman Special for a one-night-only performance in Las Vegas on Friday, June 30. Doors open at 7 p.m.; tickets are just $10 and are now available at this link.

Part of the group’s signature Summer 2023 Tour, these Big Easy Bombardiers pack an ample amount of audio artillery in their set, and it’s guaranteed that the Funka-Delic swamp will rain down heavily when they plug in. The Iceman Special is a four-piece outfit transplanted from the swamps of Louisiana to the big city of New Orleans. They combine the sound of dirty funk and delicate groove with disco and rock and roll elements to create danceable jams with plenty of edge and substance. Screeching yet smooth guitars, wandering yet punchy bass lines, electronic synth samples, driving drumbeats and powerful vocals form one-a-kind soundscapes.

Since making its debut in March 2023 as Las Vegas’s only indie film house, storytelling arena, and intentional live music venue, The Beverly Theater continues to flex its programming pillars of FILM, LIT, and LIVE, with a variety of independent and revival films, author and literary events and live music experiences.

With careful attention to acoustics and sound, The Iceman Special concert will spotlight the theater’s flexible design and unmatched audio capabilities. They will be among the first touring acts to have a stage that truly reaches the Las Vegas market.

About The Beverly Theater
The brainchild of namesake philanthropist Beverly Rogers, The Beverly Theater is Las Vegas’ only independent film house, intentional concert scene, and thoughtful storytelling arena designed with purpose and intention. The two-story, 14,306 square-foot venue features a main theater with raked seating of nearly 150 seats resting on a retractable platform that can allow for expanded standing room capacity and convert the venue into a multi-purpose black box theater with the push of a button. In Addition, there’s an on-site box office, retail/concession space, and a fully loaded green room (affectionately named The Teddy). Multiple lighting plots allow the theater to be used in a variety of different ways and can be staged in multiple directions. With an extraordinary emphasis on the film-watching experience, the 360-square-foot screen is coupled with a motorized cinema masking system and has been designed to maximize viewing angles from every seat in the house. Located on 6th Street and Bonneville in Downtown Las Vegas, The Beverly Theater is a not-for-profit venue and further underscores The Rogers Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting the arts.
