Rogers Art Loft Announces Year Three Roster of Artist-In-Residency Participants

October 26, 2021

The Rogers Art Loft at The Lucy, a multi-disciplinary artist residency program dedicated to inclusivity, originality, and empowerment of artists, has finalized its 2022/2023 roster of artists. The impactful residency offers artists, both national and international, the opportunity to live and work in a first-of-its-kind creative community – The Lucy - in vibrant Downtown Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled to reveal the roster of 10 amazing and creative people who will be the 2022/2023 Rogers Art Loft artists-in-residence,” said Lance Smith, Residency Director, Rogers Art Loft. “Hailing from all over the country, these emerging artists will share their creativity and practice and in exchange, they will engage with our community in collaboration and inspiration.”

Since launching with its inaugural roster of artists in June 2019, The Rogers Art Loft at The Lucy has successfully welcomed artists – both in-person and virtually - from a variety of disciplines including printmaking, sculpture, video and performance art, fiber arts, and collage, to share their artistic practice and process with the Las Vegas community. While the artist-in-residency program had temporarily pivoted to an entirely digital format during the global pandemic, it has since returned to an in-person format while following current health and safety guidelines in Las Vegas.

While participating in the multi-disciplinary Rogers Art Loft program, each artist will have access to creative workspace at the nearby Rogers Studio Gallery and will prepare and offer a variety of opportunities to engage with the public and with the arts community including an introductory Artist Talk, Community Workshop, and a Culmination Exhibition. Each artist residency is approximately four-eight weeks long, depending on artist’s needs and art practices.
